Justification
Choosing to follow Jesus is the most important decision you will make. The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). When you make the decision to trust Jesus, you enter into a right relationship with God. We believe forgiveness and therefore a new life begins the very moment you choose to follow Jesus.
Sanctification
As followers of Jesus, we are spiritually made new and seated with Christ (Ephesians 2:6). However, our minds, habits, and emotions often take time to catch up. This ongoing process of becoming more like Christ is called sanctification, or spiritual growth.

Discipleship is a lifelong journey.

When we sincerely place our faith in Jesus, it transforms how we live. As He becomes Lord of our lives, we begin to make changes in response—this is called repentance.

Colossians 3:5–17 describes this transformation clearly: we turn away from our old ways and put on a new life marked by compassion, kindness, humility, patience, forgiveness, love, and peace.
Baptism
We recommend baptism as soon as you have made a decision to follow Jesus. Jesus and the disciples were baptized and all through church history, baptism has served many important functions.
-
Baptism is a public declaration of your commitment to Christ.
-
Baptism is the moment of commitment to a new spiritual family, the community of believers.
-
It is a way we identify with Christ in his death and resurrection, demonstrate we believe that as Christ died and was raised, so we will be raised when we die.
-
Baptism also reminds us that we are new creatures, and have moved from darkness to light and therefore we now live into this new reality.
